Meet three Costa Rican volcanoes in just eight days. You can enjoy the hot springs, majestic landscapes, health tourism and the unique experience of feeling on top of one of the most amazing miracles that Costa Rica offers, let us take you by the hand through this wonderful journey.

 

First Day

Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport

 

Once you pass customs and immigration to Costa Rica, our representative will welcome you with a sign with your name and proceed to take one of the most elegant and quiet part of San Jose.

 

Second Day

Tour Poas Volcano-Doka-Grecia Sarchi

 

After you go to the meeting points, most hotels in San José, take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela and the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park. During the ascent to the volcano we stop for a brief explanation on our golden bean, coffee, and then continue our trip through fern, flowers and strawberries.

 

At the Volcano we will have time to observe the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles. Then we will hike the trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon as we learn about the different ecosystems in the park.

 

After visiting the volcano we will have time for lunch in a typical local restaurant. Then visit Sarchi, known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans by the abundance of craftsmen in fine wood working, there will be time for the artistic work of craftsmen in the manufacture of the famous oxcart and also may choose your own souvenir to take home.

1. This is a half-day tour is operated in the morning with a minimum of two people.
2. Due to the elevation of the volcano, this tour is not recommended for people with heart problems.

 

Third Day

Arenal Volcano Tour-The Springs with dinner

 

The Arenal volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. You can feel vibrating ground and admire the natural spectacle of lava and ash from the volcano. You'll also enjoy the hot springs where you can relax in the warm waters while enjoying nature. At the appropriate time after their arrival, we will give serve a splendid dinner to enjoy.

Fourth Day

Caño Negro Tour

 

The Wildlife Refuge Caño Negro is considered one of the richest places on the continent for bird watching. Apart from an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also home to many other animals such as sloths, three types of monkeys, alligators, lizards, bats, and a variety of flora typical of wetlands.

 

Our trip to this beautiful region, leaves from La Fortuna by minibus for an hour and a half until Los Chiles, a rustic town that is just five kilometers from the border with Nicaragua, and this is where we board the boat for a tour to the cause of the Rio Frio river about three hours. From the beginning of the trip, our professional guide will explain about the crops that we will see on the road, and the flora and fauna of the region.

Fifth Day

Ground Transportation from Arenal to Rincon de la Vieja

 

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we will continue to the country's northwest path which will take us about three hours.

 

Sixth Day

Tour National Park Rincon de la Vieja, Oropendola Waterfall, Spa, volcanic mud and thermal (no park entrance)

 

It is the most visited national park in Guanacaste. Currently the access road is in good for any type of vehicle. It is open all year. However it is closed on Mondays. It is noteworthy that the area near the park is under study by the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad. This is to determine the potential for electricity generation using geothermal energy. From any point of view, this kind of energy produces the least impact on the natural surroundings.

 

It is a waterfall of 25 meters tall with emerald-green water. It is surrounded by a forest covered canyon. It is 3 km away. You can get here by horseback riding, walking or by car and followed after a short walk.

Seventh Day

Ground Transportation from Rincón de la Vieja a San José

 

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we will continue to the Midwest trip which will take us about three hours.

 

Eighth Day

Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport
